Terms of Use
Effective July 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of the PayProof iOS application. By using PayProof you agree to them.
What PayProof is
PayProof is a document tool that helps employers and self-employed workers create earnings statements (pay stubs). It formats the information you provide and performs arithmetic on it. It is not a payroll service, not an accounting service, and it does not provide tax or legal advice.
Your responsibility for the documents you create
You may only create pay stubs that truthfully reflect real compensation you are authorized to document. All figures on a generated document are supplied by you, and you are solely responsible for their accuracy and for the lawful use of the document.
Creating documents that misrepresent income or employment — for example to obtain housing, credit or benefits — may constitute fraud and is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to cooperate with lawful requests from authorities in connection with misuse of the app.
Tax figures are estimates
Default withholding percentages offered by the app are simplified estimates provided for convenience. Actual withholding depends on your situation. Verify the figures with your accountant, your tax authority, or an existing pay stub. PayProof accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of generated documents.
Purchases and subscriptions
- Creating and previewing pay stubs is free. Exporting without watermark requires PayProof Pro.
- PayProof Pro is available as a weekly subscription (with a 3-day free trial), a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your device Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms.
Intellectual property
The app, its design and its document templates belong to us. The content of the documents you create belongs to you.
Warranty and liability
PayProof is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
