How much resin does my mold need?

Pick the shape that matches your mold (box, cylinder, sphere, dome, cone, oval or hexagon), enter its dimensions in inches or centimeters, and ResinTally returns the total mixed resin in ml, fl oz and grams — waste buffer included. For irregular molds, fill the mold with water, measure it, and enter that volume directly.

Why are "by volume" and "by weight" different?

Part A and Part B have different densities, so a 1:1 ratio by volume is not 1:1 on a scale. Mixing a volume ratio by weight is the most common cause of sticky, uncured resin. ResinTally converts between the two using each part's density, so scale users get true gram amounts.

Where do the brand presets come from?

Ratios come from each manufacturer's published instructions and technical data sheets. Densities are exact where the maker publishes them and physics-typical otherwise. Product lines change, so always verify against the datasheet of the batch you bought — the app repeats this reminder for a reason.

How is the waste buffer applied?

The buffer (default 10%) covers resin left in the mixing cup, on stir sticks, and lost while popping bubbles. It is added to the mold volume before the Part A / Part B split, so every number on screen already includes it.

How do flood coats work?

Enter the surface length and width, then either a thickness (1/16", 1/8", or your own) or the classic tabletop rule (about 3 fl oz per square foot, roughly 950 ml per square meter). The result splits into Part A and Part B like any other pour.

Does it work in metric?

Yes. Dimensions in centimeters (with mm and m suffixes accepted), results in milliliters, liters and grams. Outside the US the app defaults to metric, and UK users get the imperial fluid ounce where it appears.

How do I restore my purchase?

Settings tab > Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Is my data backed up?

Your data syncs automatically with your personal iCloud when you are signed in. Deleting the app and reinstalling restores your projects, history and presets from iCloud.
